The Blasters are the ultimate all American Roots band fronted by the brothers Dave and Phil Alvin. Their music is a blend of rockabilly, early rock and roll, punk rock, mountain music, rhythm and blues and country. The Alvin brothers have had a fractious relationship with Dave leaving the band in 1986. Phil has led various incarnations of The Blasters intermittently since then. American Music was their debut studio album. It was released in 1980 and features the future classic "Marie Marie".This is a limited edition release on red vinyl - 500 copies only!
