Paul Weller’s 15th solo album, On Sunset, is a soul album. At the same time it’s an electronic album, an orchestral album, an album packed with classic pop songs and heart-tugging ballads, and an album filled with touches of experimentalism. It’s also an album that sees Weller taking a rare glance into the rear-view mirror as he speeds into the 2020s.
LP is 150 Gram and includes a download insert
A new studio album from the time-defying legend who has won Grammys for his last two albums (2019’s Ride Me Back Home just won Best Solo Country Performance and 2018’s My Way won Best Traditional Pop Album). While his last few albums have focused on facing the reality of mortality and crying or laughing in its face, this one is focused much more on celebrating the now and embracing life, love and friends & family. The album includes new songs written by Willie and long time producer Buddy Cannon combined with new songs written by Chris Stapleton and Toby Keith plus a handful of classic songs that Willie interprets his way, all performed with an amazing band of Nashville gunslingers.
Holy Wave is a band of multi-instrumentalists from Austin, TX. Originally from El Paso, the band’s sound has evolved into a unique blend of sun baked surf-psychedelia. Holy Wave creates a brand of psych that brings to mind fellow Texans like The 13th Floor Elevators and modern contemporaries like The Black Angels and Night Beats, dyed in carefully constructed noise with an attention to detail echoing the work of influences like My Bloody Valentine and Spectrum.

Sports Team a band of six singular characters who have been variously described as one of the most raucous, electrifying and chaotic acts in the UK release their debut album Deep Down Happy. The highly anticipated record, is their first release on the legendary Island Records label. Sports Team came up on the back of word of mouth live hype, drawing round the block queues to chaotic early gigs at The Five Bells and Moth Club before releasing any music. Recording their first EP (Winter Nets) in a converted Timberyard in Hammersmith, the band have consistently set themselves apart from the acts they came up playing with, showing an intoxicating ambition, and their debut album Deep Down Happy, delivers on all bold claims, and confirm their place at the head of a group of young guitar acts. They've been defined though by an increasingly cultish fanbase spawned from online community pages, making 1000s of memes, pieces of artwork and crucially turning up wherever Sports Team play - from the bands annual Margate trip (where many of the songs were written) to the living room of the group's shared house, first in Harlesden, now Camberwell. Sessions for Deep Down Happy have been snuck in between huge tours at various London studios, including Konk and Livingston, with long-time collaborator Burke Reid (Courtney Barnett, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever) once again at the production desk. Having first worked together on the anthemic Kutcher in 2018, the debut features Reid-produced singles Here It Comes Again, The Races and Fishing while also featuring a re-recording of early single and live favourite Camel Crew - until now, only available on 2018's Winter Nets.
Dirty Projectors begin a new chapter with the release of Windows Open. These four songs are laidback and yearning, poetic and a bit whimsical. Maia Friedman sings lead on all of Windows Open. The music was written, produced and mixed by Dave Longstreth, who co-wrote the words with Maia.

Beggars Arkive is excited to reissue Between 10th and 11th, the second album by The Charlatans UK. Available on clear 2XLP, the reissue contains the original album plus eight live and remastered tracks from Isolation 21.2.91, recorded live in Chicago in 1991. Between 10th and 11th was originally released in 1992 and contained the band's biggest US hit, "Weirdo" which landed at #1 on the Alternative songs chart. Produced by Flood, you can hear the pure crispness in the audio. Entertainment Weekly said that "Between 10th and 11th consolidates the band's riveting, hypnotic attack, all musical tips o' the hat to the '60s and '70s, smeared over a smorgasbord of unrelenting dance beats and topped with hook ("I Don't Want to See the Sights") after hook ("Weirdo").". 2LP 2XLP with revised artwork, clear vinyl
Out July 3rd, Untenable is the sophomore full-length by Washington, D.C.'s Bad Moves. On this record, the band has leaned into the outer edges of their influences, expanding their power-pop umbrella to include hints of folk, garage rock, and '90s 'indie' while still keeping the hooks tuneful and sticky. Lyrically, the band explores the myriad anxieties of modern living -- from heady questions of self-definition and identity to day-to-day matters, like labor precarity, climate change, social media, automation and the surveillance state."
LIFERS is the highly anticipated ninth studio album from iconic alt-rock duo, Local H. It's their first full-length record in five years, and coincides with the band's 30th anniversary. Recorded by the legendary Steve Albini (Nirvana, Cheap Trick) and the band's longtime accomplice Andy Gerber, the record features mixing by J. Robbins, and contributions by an array of respected friends and guests, including Juliana Hatfield, John McCauley (Deer Tick), and John Haggerty (Naked Raygun, Pegboy).
Dream Wife (Alice Go, Bella Podpadec and Rakel Mjöll) are back with their second album and just like the title suggests, this is a record brimming with adrenaline and playful excitement ('It's an invitation, a challenge, a call to action,' says Rakel). From the jagged, CSS-like guitar of 'So When You Gonna'' to the hooky brightness of album opener 'Sports!' and the whip-smart lyrical asides of 'Validation', these are moreish, pumped up, sparkling tracks that feel like newer, dynamic evolutions of debut standouts, like 'F.U.U.' and 'Hey Heartbreaker.' But they often lean into sweeter, softer, more emotional moments too. 'Temporary' and 'After the Rain' in particular ' songs about miscarriage and abortion, respectively ' are complicated, painful stories told through a soft and hopeful lens. These were difficult subjects to write about, but Dream Wife think it's important to bring these conversations into the public sphere, to refuse to brush things under the rug, to empower and support others in the process. Dream Wife have always been outspoken about holding up other womxn and non-binary people in the creative industries, but these aren't just words or sentiments. With a gender divide in music production currently estimated at around ninety-five percent male to five percent female, the band are proud to have worked with an all-female recording team for So When You Gonna..., including producer and mixer Marta Salogni (Björk, Holly Herndon, FKA Twigs) engineer Grace Banks (David Wrench, Marika Hackman) and mastering engineer Heba Kadry (Princess Nokia, Alex G, Beach House). 'It was a way of us practicing what we preach,' says Alice, 'It felt like an honour to be able to deliver this baby with these three amazing midwives.' 'Put your money where your mouth is!' adds Rakel, quoting the lyrics of 'Sports!'
2020 release from the British metalcore band. Bury Tomorrow's 2018 album Black Flame catapulted them into metal's upper echelons, taking them on a tour which culminated with a huge show at London's iconic Roundhouse. But with follow up Cannibal, the band have taken another leap forward. Already, the Southampton quintet are responsible for some of metalcore's most rousing anthems, and Cannibal is stacked with more glorious vocal hooks, razor-sharp riffs and sublime melodies that will solidify their seat at UK metal's top table. To record it, the band reunited with SikTh guitarist and Black Flame producer Dan Weller (Enter Shikari, Young Guns), while mixing and mastering was completed by Adam "Nolly" Getgood and Ermin Hamidovic, the dream team behind Architects' Holy Hell. The result is Bury Tomorrow's most technical, anthemic album yet. And while vocalist and lyricist Dani Winter Bates has long been one of metal's loudest advocates for the importance of discussing mental health, this time he's delved explicitly into his own experiences, writing his most brutally personal lyrics to date.
